What To Expect When Using Horse Communication
If you’ve ever wondered what your horse might say if they could talk, you’re not alone. Most horse owners we’ve met feel a deep connection with their animals but also long to understand them on a deeper level. At times, we just want to understand what they’re trying to tell us with their behavior so we can try to solve problems and make them happy. That’s where horse communication comes in.
At Horses Heard, the process begins with a consultation where we learn about you, your horse, and your situation. From there, our horse communicator, Brenda, enters a calm, quiet state with no distractions and focuses on your horse by name. When the horse responds, she introduces herself, and the conversation begins.
What Do Horses Say?
The messages horses communicate can be simple or surprisingly profound. Often, what shines through most is their happiness—or a need they want acknowledged. Sometimes they ask for something practical, like a change in routine or environment. Other times, they just need more compassion, patience, or understanding from their human.
For horse owners, this process can feel vulnerable and even a little scary. Looking at life through your horse’s perspective may challenge how you see things. But the rewards are extraordinary. Time and again, we’ve found that horses deeply appreciate when a human takes the time to ask. They want to be heard, and they’re grateful for it. The message itself depends entirely on the horse and what they are feeling and needing at the time or communication, but it is very often coupled with a sentiment of gratitude that the owner is even attempting to ask.
Will My Horse Have Something to Say to Me? Can I Say Something to Them
Absolutely to both. In doing so, issues can be resolved, feelings can be shared. Communication is wonderful for the relationship, as it is healing in all relationships. Brenda can explain your message to the horse in a way they can understand, through words and visuals and she often receives messages in this same way.
Does It Work Remotely?
Yes. Because this work happens on a higher level of consciousness, location doesn’t matter. Whether you’re across the field or across the country, the process works the same way.
Will My Horse Be Open To Talking To You?
Just like people, every horse has their own personality and comfort level. Some open up right away while others need more time to build trust. This is why we don't do short, 20 minute sessions. We want to honor your horse and their comfort so like any other meeting, Brenda takes the time to introduce herself, and meet them, then talk surface level before diving deep. Respecting their comfort is at the heart of this work.
Horse communication can certainly be the first step in solving problems, but at the heart of it, it is a way to show respect to your horse and their feelings. It gives your horse a voice, offers you a window into their world, and deepens the relationship you already share. When you’re open to listening, what your horse has to say might surprise you and the bond that grows from it can be life-changing.
